Arts on the River @ River Bend, Lyons, Colorado Sunday, August 27th from 1 to 7 pm .FREE Admission! Arts on the River is a collaboration between Boulder County Arts Alliance and the Lyons Arts and Humanities Commission, held along the North Saint Vrain Creek in Lyons at River Bend. Dozens of artists in all mediums will have work for sale: Paintings, photography, pottery, jewelry, fiber and more! There will be live music from Kutandara and Sounds of Lyons, dancers from Mayama Movement Studio, food trucks including Savory Cuisines, Button Rock Bakery and Farmer Girl, libations from Spirit Hound Distillers and B Town. Our Annual June Member Art Show and Sale at the Boulder County Fairgrounds is fast approaching! This year’s show will be from Thursday June, 8th through Sunday June 11th. We have some wonderful Judges participating this year, and we need you to help us make it the best yet! Deb Nakano/PS PhotoArtistry, has her first public showing of digitally enhanced original photographs hanging at the Longmont, Colorado Chamber of Commerce, 526 Main St. A new resident of Longmont, Deb grew up in Colorado and sprouted "rolling roots" after the kids were grown. Staying in the Four Corners states for the most part and adding in some islands and a bit of Central America, Deb has created thousands of pictures in her mind and hundreds on her computer. Deb's small business since 2004 as a commercial field inspector has honed her observation skills while taking thousands of pictures for insurance and mortgage companies. Wanting to turn her original photo images into something creative, she became self taught in Photoshop and specialized software in order to make her photos unique. www. deb.nakano.pixels.com
